We give them money and force them to use the money we give them on military equipment from U.S. defense companies.
Right. So we're helping to fund their military.

I think Israel would be in real danger without our support.
They’re a sovereign nation.
So is Iran. I want them to listen to us too.
Nominated for dumbass post of the day. Care to offer any logic behind that statement? I see no reason why Israel or ANY other nation should be subordinate to us or anyone else.
We could start with the fact that our support is the only reason they are able to exist. Does that go for Iran too by the way? Do they get to make their nukes because nations shouldn't be subordinate to one another?

Just because we give Israel foreign aid does mean they owe us anything in return, and certainly not subservience (unquestioned obedience). There are reasons why we support them, but that ain't one of them. And I would not agree that Israel would not exit if we didn't support them. We don't give them that much support.
So is Iran. I want them to listen to us too. And I certainly don't have an issue with the president criticizing them. I don't want to take away their sovereignty.

Well they’re not.
There is no country that is obligated to obey every command we give them.

You people have your feathers ruffled because Israel got criticized by a U.S president. Fuck that.

Sovereignty does not mesh with subservience, Israel should make it's own decisions for the good of their people rather than ours.

What do you mean, You People?

The US provides arms to Israel for the same reason that Nike gives free sneakers to Michael Jordan. If Israel is seen to be using US weapons ... the rest of the world will want them too.

Yeah that's not exactly what I meant, but whatever. It shouldn't be controversial for the U.S to criticize them or provide feedback on their actions.

Yea, with the caveat that destroying some other country is an unacceptable decision/action for doing what's best for your people. In Iran's case, they should have the right and the autonomy to build nuclear reactors for peaceful domestic use. But that's not what they're doing, they want to build nuclear weapons and they are enriching nuclear material to near weapons-grade levels. Given their propensity to support terrorism around the world and their near fanatical obsession to destroy Israel, it is not unreasonable to suppose if and when they ever do create nukes that they will use them or give them to some people who will use them. It's hard to blame Israel IMHO for trying avoid a nuclear attack from Iran or one of it's acolytes.
Exactly. Obama should probably ponder this quest well. When a country and its people are wide awake to what REAL EVIL looks like, they just may hurt a politician's feelings.Biden Warns Israel To Stop Bragging About Disabling Iran Nuclear Facility
Or...?

I don't blame Israel at all. I just think they should be thankful for and respectful to us. I think when our president shoots criticism their way they should listen.
Well you did say Israel is subordinate to us
