That's why they're against voter ID, against purging the voter rolls, against signature checks, against observing the count.

Whaaaat?
Who said any of that? (other than Toddster?)

People aren't against that stuff if done appropriately and without intent to disenfranchise.
Hell, I'll go out on a limb here, and say everybody* wants a free, fair, valid election.

Jeeez! Some of the FringieRight conspiracy theory that get aired out on this venue are amusing.

*well, yes, there are gonna be those who want to protect their 'turf'....and want measures that ensure they stay on their turf regardless if it is free, fair, or valid. Witness, the Georgia legislature trying to hinder black churches from transporting their congregants to a polling station. Those white Georgians seemingly don't want all legal citizens to vote......especially if they are black. At any rate, it surely appears that way. IMHO

Noper.
If done properly and appropriately most everybody would want reasonable common-sense oversight of something as important as an American election. But, as said before, nobody would want those measures if they are implemented with mendacity and intent to limit the free and legal vote.

IMHO

And if you claim every attempt at all of those are improper.....you're a Dem.

Why are republicans so scared of people voting begs the other question....why do they love guns so much. Scared little rabbits who would probably poop their pants if they actually had to use their guns. Any way a link to our very undemocratic voting practices in USA.
GOP doesn't scare of people voting. They don't like electoral fraud

Democrats "expanding voting rights" is nothing more than legitimizing the scam of fraudulent mail in ballots and Illegals voting.

Democrats are the scum of America and a disgrace to our Democracy.

Making voting easier for people who are too dumb or too lazy to get an ID will only benefit democrats.
Makes no difference WHO it makes easier to vote. Voting is not only a right, it is a necessity if America is to meet the expectations of it's founding, the Constitution, and the now 240+years of cultural imperative. A free vote is one of the defining characteristics of our America. And it must be easily available to the dumb, the smart, the lazy, and the ambitious. And all in between who qualify.

Anything that makes it easier for the stupid and uninformed to vote is a boon to democrats. That's your party's core constituency.
Asked and answered. And too, the posters remark about 'core constituency' signal that there is no sincerity or good will towards making America better via it's defining free vote. It is just puerile snark. No offense intended.
Did the founders intend for our leaders to be chosen by people who don't know anything, don't care about anything and have nothing to lose? Do you really think that will make America better?

Did the founders intend for our leaders to be chosen by people who don't know anything,
Our founders did not want men who didn't own land to vote. Didn't want men of color even if they owned land to vote. And certainly didn't want Natives, blacks, 'Chinamen', or women to vote.
So, in short, spare me on what "the Founders" wanted and didn't want.

That was then. This is now.
But, to the Founder's credit they had the foresight to establish a framework of "Amendments" to adapt to a changing demographic, sensibilities, and zeitgeist.

As my avatar has posted earlier.....today, even 'dumb' people, even mentally handicapped, even physically disabled, even blacks, women, native Americans, Asians....and men who don't own land.....can vote.

The one defining qualifier is that they are American citizens.
