Biden considering "preemptive pardons" for those targeted for revenge

Could the Supreme Court disallow it? I’d love that.

The President can only pardon Federal criminal charges and convictions; he can't pardon anybody charged by states for crimes committed in their jurisdictions, so there is still that. Drugs and tax evasions are also state crimes.

Indeed. Burning down police stations, too.
There was a dying person on the “captured land” who needed medical attention, and the occupiers didn’t allow the ambulance through. And the man died. They should have been charged with 2nd degree murder.

(In fact, now that I think about it, why weren’t all the leftists protesting these people occupying American land? Oh riiiiight…..they weren’t Jews.)

Drugs yes. Federal taxes, no. But Delaware (or whatever state he was in) can charge him for state tax evasion, true.

Now you know why Dante in Inferno reserved a worse punishment for those who followed no banner than those who were guilty of minor sins.
I know the holier than thou I-Told-You-So fence jockeys are even more annoying than the openly marxist democrats

Many states base their state income taxes on what is reported on Federal tax forms, so he would also be cheating them.

Dont feed to trolls. That poster is a useless troll….essentially masturbating using the keyboard and this forum.

Curried Goats = IM2 = SUPERBADBRUTHA

Do not get sidetracked by the troll. The mods should know this, many boards have IP ADDRESSES connected to the posters. The FLORIDA GATOR FOOTBALL board I modded back in the day had this feature.

They do have that feature, they know.

This is the third thread I've seen on this topic tonight so does that mean this plan is being given serious consideration?
I assume so. But it's a bit like the "when did you stop beating your wife" conundrum. If you pardon someone the assumption is they're guilty of something. In this instance not so. It's preemptive protection against an admin that has bragged about how it plans to abuse its power by corrupting the DoJ.

It's a damn shame it has come to this, but it's a good idea.

If this were done, the incoming administration would be able to more fully focus on destroying our critical institutions and leaving millions of Americans in the lurch in the name of its narcissistic, paranoid, authoritarian ideology. This list could get quite long, considering how many people have dared to publicly challenge this person.

Biden White House Is Discussing Preemptive Pardons for Those in Trump’s Crosshairs

The deliberations touch on pardoning those currently in office, elected and appointed, as well as former officials who’ve angered Trump and his loyalists.

Those who could face exposure include such members of Congress’ Jan. 6 Committee as Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Trump has previously said Cheney “should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!” Also mentioned by Biden’s aides for a pardon is Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Why would anyone accept a pardon if they did not commit a crime(s)?

No such thing as a 'pre-emptive pardon', except in the minds of commies and deviants.
Dem/leftists make things up to suit their agenda. The useful idiots will be programmed to support it without fail.

They can't all move to Canada, EU..... I know for a fact the EU court system would laugh Trump DOJ evidence out of court. Ireland doesn't have partisan judges like that, judges are picked by the legal profession and rubber stamped by politics...

This would cause big issues with the DOJ and the American ambassador would be politely told to cop the fuck on... You ain't playing in a corrupt system like Judge Cannon's court...
