I would hope Trump would refrain from revenge but, let’s not forget he has been the subject of revenge ever since he took office in 2017. Democrats have used every means possible to go after Trump. They know it which is why you will see pre-emptive pardons on the rose. Not sure about Cheney but Schiff had best get a Pardon given he got caught lying in the first impeachment of Trump ( just one of many revenge tools against Trump) .

I don't think it's so much about accountability or revenge or justice, I think it's all about the possibility of the truth to be revealed, None of these mentioned players want the credibility of the establishment to be further damaged.
