Unions were and are needed in certain industries. Unions protect bums. And protect the privileged of equity. There is a lot of corruption and stupidity that is not reported.

Well a lot of that money went into union pockets.

The majority of unions are shit anymore and only exist to pilfer money from their workers. If you're in a union you don't get a choice, you have to pay dues out of your pocket from your paycheck you worked for.

With federal laws they are mostly unneeded like they were in the 50s for instance when workers were used and abused. Now you have federal worker laws and each state has their own rules and regulations.
