This morning, when I woke up and got out of bed, the temperature was 63 degrees in Virginia. This time last year, the temperature was in the 90s. It set a record temperature for the month of August. So with the 63 degrees and cooler temperature basically for the whole month of August, will this PROVE that Global Warming wont have this month as a new HEAT record, or will the Liberal, Fanatical, Global Warming Zelots, ignore the facts and spew more lies that August was hotter than last year?

funny stuff.......the joke around here in New York is the summer never came this summer. August was 15 degree's cooler than normal. We are a beach community........the ocean only 20 minutes away from anybody. Very few beach days this summer.............a joke............too cold. And there just happened to be a high pressure system sitting over the middle part of Texas, keeping the hurricane from moving inland and dissipating, which is why it continues to spin as a tropical storm, picking up more moisture from the Gulf and pouring it onto Texas.

Pressure differential, caused by temperature and partial water vapor pressures are what cause these to form. Many form off of the coast of Africa where dry hot air meets cool wet air. It causes what is called an 'eddie' which persists as it proceeds along the equator. Upper level wind shear and temperature drives the eddie or crushes it.
