Bam Adebayo scores 83, second-most points in NBA history
Bam Adebayo scored the most points since Wilt Chamberlain's iconic 100-point game in 1962 as the Heat star went for 83 points in a blowout win over the Wizards.
OK, so this is the big story from yesterday...dude scored a shit-load of points. HOWEVER...
Look at the stats line: 20/43 from the field and 7/22 from behind the arc.
As far as I'm concerned, all that scoring didn't even help his team. He just took the shots that others could have, and made fewer than they would have. If you score bigly like that, you MUST have a high percentage of made shots, otherwise it's just a matter of being a ball-hog. He didn't even make half of his shots. And 7/22 from 3-point range? No thanks. 33% is the "Mendoza Line" for three pointers, and he didn't even do that.
This is a tainted performance. Ball Hog CIty.
