New York (CNN Business)Everyday Americans are getting hammered by high prices at the pump, and Bank of America thinks the pain may just be getting started.
Gas prices have surged to a seven-year high of $3.40 a gallon nationally and are flirting with $4 in Nevada, Washington State and Oregon.
Bank of America is now predicting that Brent crude oil, which drives gas prices, will zoom to $120 a barrel by June 2022. That's 45% higher than current levels.

The major oil companies got so much welfare packed into the Democrat's 'climate change' hoax, some $600 billion worth, they don't need to invest in drilling any more, since most of it will probably pass. They're busy distributing their current massive profits in dividends and speculating in derivatives now; they can raise oil prices through the roof and rake in ten's of billions without spending another dime in drillling. The fact is production is up a little, not going down, and drilling is also up from a year ago, almost double the number of rigs. The Big Lie tactic is just as popular with right wing troll farms as it is left wing ones. Oil companies are charging more for gas because they can.

Well yes you're right of course. Dimocrats love high oil prices. They have the belief that if prices are high, it will cause more consumers to look for alternative fuel sources. What they don't realize is the world is not ready yet to disengage from the use of petroleum products.

We have never been energy independent. We continued to import crude even in 2020.
