In a letter to Rep. Jim Jordan, the Republican chair of the House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg alleges that the officials, including those from the White House, “repeatedly pressured” Facebook for months to take down “certain COVID-19 content including humor and satire.”

The officials “expressed a lot of frustration” when the company didn’t agree, he said in the letter.

The FCC is suppose to hold all networks that use public airwaves to the same standard they've used in the recent media blitz. . TV and Radio. Where was/is the action against the Rabid Right vitriolic voices on right wing radio and over the top rhetoric in that media? They've broadcast from a single political perspective 24/7/365 for decades now.

It seems that this is all a distraction and the real issue is to change the current rules to allow these mega-media conglomerates to control a greater number of affiliates. Those mega- media corporation need their monopolies broken up not increased.

No he didn't liar. Facebook volatarily warned about Covid-19 misinformation and removed some misinformation dedicated accounts.

There were no explicit threats from the gov of retribution for not co-operating and no regulatory action when Facebook didn't.
