Average teachers pay vs average pay.

Teachers earn more than those they have educated. So why do they complain about their pay?

Teachers: $66,000
Their graduates: $61,000
Try this one on for size:
New Trier Township in North Chicago: Average Teacher Salary 2022-23: $131,000. Classic leftwing big city. Huge inflated salary. Not much return for the money.

So what did you make over your career in marketing?
My top salary is none of your business - but it was comparable with my teacher friends, in the low 100s. But THEY got summers off, and now they have nice pensions.

One of my teacher friends took a three-week trip to Europe over the summer and asked me to join her. But I didn’t have that type of time off.
 
The thing about teachers being underpaid is the same as the cries of federal government workers being underpaid - a myth. Their benefits and pensions alone add a great value.
