Authors retract major COVID-19 paper on effects of hydroxychloroquine

It’s always bad when you retract a paper but here the issue is that the hospital system isn’t letting anyone confirm the findings by looking at the dataset. This doesn’t seem to have serious ethical lapses, at least not yet.

Still, hydroxychloroquine isn’t coming back. We’ve pretty much moved on.

It was Surgisphere's flat out refusal to allow any outside access to any of their source data or code that was the final nail in the coffin. The request was prompted when 180 scientists signed a letter outlining what they perceived as inconsistencies in the data. They were also concerned about the fact that they had never of the company, their spokesperson is a porn star, and the "science editor" is a science fiction writer.

One of individuals raising concerns was quoted as saying "A first-year statistics major could tell you about major flaws in the design of the analysis."

Surgisphere has flat out refused to allow anyone to view their source data or code after people became suspicious. In some cases they were including results regarding more Coronavirus cases than the area had even experienced at the time. I don't see how you can say there's nothing suspicious here.

The lesson I get from this is that there are actually people---Democrats---who will falsify evidence/conclusions to keep a drug off the market which might well save lives---apparently commit Felonies, for political reasons, specifically, to hurt Don Trump.

That study was retracted because surgisphere wouldnt provide their database used in the study.
But there are plenty of other studies showing that hydroxchlorquine doesnt help.
Your better off eating healthy, getting enough vitamin-D, zinc, avoiding sugar.
