Protesters have marched onto the Interstate 85 and Interstate 75 connector in Atlanta.
Dozens of police vehicles have lined the highway, shutting down the interstate.
Not far away, a fire has been started outside the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was shot dead by police on Friday night.
The situation is ongoing.

So, Brooks fell asleep in his car. Some moron called the cops on him. They administered a sobriety test, which Brooks apparently failed. Seemingly, no problems so far. Instead of making sure Brooks got home safely, without posing a danger to himself or to others, so as to sleep it off, the two incompetents got themselves into a physical altercation. They not only lost that altercation, on top of that they also lost a taser. Then Brooks ran away, posing no discernible danger to anyone's life, and they still shot him dead.

So, there we have another case of "Serve and Protect" as currently understood: Being caught asleep in a car by two over-eager adrenaline junkies carries a death sentence. Quite predictably, the "Sanctity of Life" faction couldn't be any giddier.

Really. In a situation already tense with rage over gratuitous, racist police brutality, it takes a benighted moron to deem it a good idea to shoot dead yet another black man for no good reason.

I try to look at all ways. The Atlanta Braves certainly did. They have ownership and management that thought ahead like many businessmen should for now on. They left a 20 year old stadium that was fully functional. But in a city where things like this can happen. They went to the suburbs. Smart move. All businesses in blue cities.......leave if you can. Some of you can not because you are local. Getting broken into and burned down though is not part of the deal.

The police should be trained not to use a Taser within easy reach of a suspect. It is almost a natural reaction to grab something that is shocking you or will shock you. Then for such a simple mistake of grabbing the Taser, they get shot.
