I would call it retaliation moreso than retribution, but that distinction doesn't matter really.
Yes, it is important that people like Comey, Smith, the state politicians who ran specifically on prosecuting Trump without ever naming a specific crime, and others involved in the long-running Operation GET TRUMP conducted by the "independent DOJ and FBI," and their cheerleaders in the media pay some kind of price.
I like that Trump seems to be tailoring the investigations to closely match investigations that were conducted against him and his allies. It would be nice if he finds more opportunities for that, but I hope he doesn't get too caught up in such cleverness.
Just go after them. Hillary would be especially vulnerable. No way was Bill making trip after trip to Epstein Island, coming home smelling like No More Tears shampoo and fresh fish but she had no idea what was going on. They really need to squeeze the people involved in the serial deception of the FISA court. If they don't get to the bottom of how that came to happen (i.e. get to the top), then the courts are bad joke.
Why not just let sleeping dogs like, be the bigger person, or what have you? The GOP did that for decades and look what it got them.
