You`re comparing apples to oranges. When someone crosses the center lane and hits oncoming traffic head on, the odds are overwhelming that the driver was shit faced drunk and at least twice the legal limit. People get drunk at bars. People smoke weed at home and they have little to no desire to ruin their day by dealing with an automobile. I`ve got 50+ years of cannabis experience and knowledge. My youngest brother is a retired PhD and published author who`s been a cannabis user for decades and has doctor`s prescription for his leukemia.

Actually stoned drivers are quite easy to spot. They tend to drive 5 to 10 mph slower than everyone else and can also be observed sitting at intersections waiting for the stop sign to turn green.

They're very dangerous. I do NOT want to share the road with impaired drivers. I rode motorcycles for 50 years and one of my greatest fears was some stupid stoner hitting me from behind at a stop light.

I am inclined to be in favor of legalizing pot nationwide.

However, the THC content of marijuana is now so insanely high that it results in cannabis-induced psychosis in a lot of users.

This is actually the argument for why it should be legal everywhere, so that the quality and the THC content can be regulated.
