Cannabis compounds could reverse disease affecting one-third of adults

My poor hubby -- a teetotalling schoolteacher -- had such a hard time learning to smoke or even to vape, so we eventually just got him on edibles and it was great for him.

Yes save those lungs. I personally no longer consume canibis products. They just don't agree with me and I am subject to DOT drug tests. They are useful to some. If you have a use for them edibles are the way to go.

Nor do I. The last time I used was about 15 years ago. It's the most effective remedy I have ever found for restless legs. That's why my husband used cannabis. Side effect of a drug given him by his doctor was SEVERE restless legs.

Even Fox News has to accept this and stop bending to their big pharma advertisers.

The future is civil liberty. Freedom will prevail only if citizens accept that people are different and must be free to choose what is best for them, getting high or not, getting drunk or not. To each their own.

Compounds found in cannabis could provide a new roadmap for treating the world’s most common chronic liver disorder, according to a study released by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

The research, published in the British Journal of Pharmacology, found that cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabigerol (CBG) significantly reduced liver fat and improved metabolic health in experimental models.

CBD is the more widely studied non-intoxicating cannabinoid, while CBG is a less common "precursor" cannabinoid from which CBD is formed.

Unlike THC, the primary psychoactive component in cannabis, these compounds do not produce a "high," making them viable candidates for long-term medical treatment, the study suggests.

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) currently affects approximately one-third of the global adult population, according to health data.
Now that the harmful effects of smoking marijuana are undeniable, the new justification for the intoxicating effects of "cannabis" has shifted to its purported "medical" benefits.

I am all for personal freedom as long as it does not negatively affect others, particularly children. I think this substance should only be available on a medical prescription basis.

My wife had suffered with neuropathy for years and tried every recommended treatment including a set of laser lights to wear on her feet a couple hours a day that she paid over 2K for. I let her sample cannabis from a vape and that put an end to the worthless medication and the laser lights. She`s able to forget about the pain when she`s at home which is most of the time.
Congrats that must be a great relief. My BIL had a back operation and had excruciating lower back pain. He hated how Opioids made him feel and they were not that effective. Cannabis gave him immediate relief allowing him to work on his trucks and his small farm.
