Are Republicans Jealous of the Poor?

Why do they keep repeating that the poorest people dont pay income taxes?

What???

71% of Americans are Republicans???

Americans overwhelmingly believe that the bigger problem with the welfare system in the United States is that there are too many overqualified recipients rather than not enough. Most also think legal immigrants should have to wait at least three years before being eligible for welfare benefits.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 71% of American Adults say the bigger problem with welfare programs in the United States is that too many people get welfare who should not be getting it."

Wow I said nothing about welfare and you immediately associate poor with being on welfare. :eusa_eh:

I'm especially a fan of "making work pay". Um, if you're working and they're not paying, that's volunteering. If you're not volunteering then you don't need the federal government to make your work pay.

I mean think about it. We have a tax credit that is dedicated to make up for the fact that a person cannot bargain well when it comes to their wage. OMFG.

Mike

No, not jealous. They wish the poor would just go away. If they did, then the GOP could start working on the middle class.

Hey I got a couple neg reps for this thread so I know i touched a nerve.

repubs are always squawking about how the poor dont pay income taxes. They should try trading places with some of the poor.

Actually many of them are already there. They're just not smart enough to support positions that benefit them or the rest of the middle class. They think if they suck up to the rich, they too might one day become rich themselves.
Like the only qualification you need to determine that is being a know-it-all liberoidal dickweed.

As the naked arrogance of the left once again rears its ugly mug.

And oddly, they're some of biggest ignoramus' here...

It's not arrogance when all I'm doing is pointing out the obvious. You're the perfect example of my post. You're a living, walking hypocrite.

"I hate being controlled by the government! But I'll do anything that big business wants"

It's only "obvious" to arrogant know-it-all liberoidal dickweeds.

In my world, I tend to mind my own damned business and let my neighbor figure out for himself what he believes to be in his best interests.

Hyperbole, non sequitur, strawman and an outright lie to boot....You hit the overheated liberoidal rhetorical crackpot jackpot.

You're repeating yourself now. Time for some new insults, I've heard those already.

You don't mind your own business, you advocate for big business to run our lives.

Act like an arrogant know-it-all dickweed and you'll be identified as such.

I advocate for mining my own business, nothing more...You should give it a try.

Contrary to what you might believe, there is a lot I don't know or understand about many things.

I do know however, that you are a hypocrite of world class proportions and would do anything if it meant you could make a dollar, or more specifically could help private business make a dollar.

What's the chances you didn't do a write-in vote for Phillip Morris in the last election?

Well, you seem to think you have the inside track on what's in the best interest of people you don't even know...Which seems to be a common trait to liberoidal dickweeds everywhere.

And if you really had an interest in helping the poor (which I seriously doubt), you'd be encouraging guys like me to make all I can, so your bureaucratic dickweed tax agents could shake me down for more dough to support your socialistic moocher state.

If there's any hypocrisy to be found around here, it's in your mirror, Sparky.
