Everyday, more empty retail spaces appear. Litter on the streets, even fly tipping in the parks. Stabbings, car rammings, political instability. A country run by virtue signalling wimps. Hardly an army either.
A growing desire to leave the EU.

You should talk to a German economist some time about the state of the nation.
There is short term and long term...
Yes Germany is in a short term recession right now but the fundamentals of their economy is very strong...
I say it will last longer than normal because they keep hitting storms, ie COVID, Energy Crisis and Inflation, Ukraine War,, Trade War....
But strangely while Germany has suffered they have become far more energyu independent...
That will really stand to them...
So agree with you that Germany is hitting short term pain. But they have the fundamentals very sound and are doing things to make them sounder...

Saying that they are quite left wing much more than me and the normal centrists...
What can you expect... they come from Northern Ireland where 75% of the economy relies on UK Government...
We laugh at some of their proposals, Ireland is one of the most pro Business countries in Europe with one of the more open economies in the world...

Brexit has been a disaster. Starmer is a coward and doesnt want to rake ip up again. Or maybe a pragmatist.
But I think it will be a feature of the next election.
The result willl be very different. People have seen enough .
It was based on lies which have now been exposed. Fully.
How long it will take us to rebuild isnt clear.
Free trade, joint army, navy and air force and free movement of people.

EU did what EU was always going to do... You don't get the benefits of club membership without joining the club...
EU ethos is pretty simple and any one will tell you that there are border restrictions if you don't adhere to their standards...
Switzerland and Norway could have told you that... There is no exceptions otherwise it would be a backdoor to severely hurt the members of the club... UK were members for over 40 years and large part never understood that...
Boris even knew that, he lied his hole off but he knew it...
I think Starmer time was three months after the election...
Simply walk into Parliment and say it is going to happen because the Economy is screwed otherwise... Have a quick (6 week referendum). It will take time but it will get better...

If they were in the Custom Union and interacting with heavily with EU I say UK people would be happier. a certain amount of the madness would end... He has almost 5 years to get things turned around but at least he is sailing downwind and against it...
Demographics would also be favouring him and he would look decisive, brave and strong.
There would be screamers but I think the UK wants to hear less of them now... Stability and get back to doing business would be popular.
You could have a pretty serious campaign before you even kick that off showing the lies Brexit told us... Keep hammering on that... Show the money all these guys made on Brexit while the number of food banks have grown..
