Don't be fooled with the Lefty propaganda about the UK. In every country, there's no such thing as a good party, there's shit ones and utter utter utter utter shit ones. In the UK, the Tories are shit, Labour have always been utter utter utter utter shit, history has forever proven that. THAT'S the first bit everyone needs to GRASP.

My reply was, so the UK was rich before it entered the EU some 40 to 50 years ago, then if we're rich by being in Europe, then that's made us mega rich. So since leaving, we've lost everything???? The back tracking was unbelievable, his gullibleness whacked his face. "It's, erm, it's, hmm, we're not doing as well".

What really screwed UK was Tatcher... She doubled down on London and took cash rather than invest in the regions...
This left huge areas of the UK lacking investment and support.
EU didn't like this but Tatcher was insistent.
Compare Irealnd that has invested in areas outside Dublin especially along West Coast... It has created niche industries like Med Tech in Galway and Clonmel (Ireland produce 80% of Stents world wide).
Cork is more Pharma and Whiskey...
All this backed by massive investment in Education, 50%+ of Galway,Kerry and Mayo (rural Western Counties) goto University..
Compare that to UK
So UK was in trouble before it went in, it took over a decade to right the ship... Now they left and in about 10 years they will back in...

Simple EU rule, want to trade freely in the EU, then abide by EU standards... Norway and Switzerland know this and thus impose EU standards on nearly all their goods..
