Are College Students Really This Dumb?

Yeah, that's why Catholic priests earn on average $25,000-$45,000 a year. Just hoarding all that money.

You're leaving out an awful lot.

Their take-home pay is generally low, but their basic living expenses are typically covered by the parish or diocese.

Yes, Catholic diocesan priests generally receive pensions, along with Social Security, Medicare, and sometimes housing, to support them in retirement (usually around age 70). These benefits are typically funded by Diocesan Priests' Retirement Funds, which are supported by parish investments and donations.

  • Targeted Assistance: Efforts include operating mobile food pantries, providing legal aid to migrants, organizing disaster relief, offering addiction recovery, and running job training programs.
  • Commitment to Social Teaching: The Church holds an "option for the poor," viewing service not just as charity, but as a commitment to justice and recognizing the face of Christ in the needy.
  • Specific Ministries: Organizations like the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Community of Sant' Egidio offer community-based support, including school assistance for children, visitation for the elderly, and friendship for the homeless.

You mean like pesky regulations that allow you to pollute the air? Stuff like that? You mean caring about MY great lakes because I live around them? Am I being selfish?

Such spin.
You only care about the planet because you feel guilty about being an asshole to everyone around you.

It's like a Christian that goes to church several times a week.

They feel guilty about all of the rotten shit they've said and done during the week.

Spending time in church acts as a cleansing agent for all of their sins.

The same can be said for Democrats who always latch onto silly causes because it makes everyone around them think they're good people, when deep down they know they disgusting a holes who spend all of their spare time fornicating and getting high.

What percent of total contributions?

Local parish spending
  • About 74% of church donations stay in the local parish (staff, buildings, operations).
  • Roughly 10–20% is often used for:
    • charity
    • outreach
    • missions

Those donations feed the hungry, house the homeless, clothe poor children, facilitate adoptions, support schools, etc. Liberals want to think that paying taxes at the point of a gun equates to charitable giving.

Actually I come here because I'm sick of being a good person all week. Biting my lip. What's wrong with you people?

I heard that making more money is better.
Go figure.

Everywhere near a city is more expensive.

But not everywhere has the constant insanity that exists in CA.

Well, paying $1 million for a house that costs $100K elsewhere in other cities would pretty much show that 'making more money' in California just buys a whole lot less and they don't really 'make more money'.
