April 15 is coming...

When you're living paycheck to paycheck, it's hard to save up to start a new business.

Back when we were spreading wealth and the middle class, unions were strong, people had disposable income, and you could have a family with one income. Today? Wages are stagnant, unions are weak, and disposable income on a scale that our grandfathers knew is a thing of the past. Pensions? What are those? Oh yeah, it was a social safety net; a reward for loyalty and consistently working for a company.

Republicans are most responsible for most of the degrading of workers rights, collective bargaining, offshoring jobs by the tens of thousands, etc....

Back when we were spreading wealth and the middle class, unions were strong, people had disposable income, and you could have a family with one income.

Back when the government was smaller.

That was nice.

I got my taxes back today.

Sadly between the Feds and Virginia they got to use 4K of my money interest free.

I've always maintained that it's better to pay a little in than to get much of a refund.
CPA brought my return to me yesterday. Getting a $42.8K refund but my wife owes about $1,600 in student loans. Last year was/is kind of a blur. I figured I was getting a refund but had no idea how much.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Who knew how YUGE the Trump Effect on our tax returns would be? :113:
