Okay, but you must realize that this was not what the writers of the amendment intended.

They OBVIOUSLY intended the amendment to ensure that no president serves more than two full terms. No one can possibly argue that.

If Trump wants to override the amendment, then he should follow proper procedure to have it overturned. There ARE mechanisms in place to repeal amendments, after all. That’s why we no longer have prohibition.
