Exactly my point. The goal was to grab territory, not because there were troops on the border.
But there were troops on the border and they did not imagine that. Even if you're right that it was a land grab you still referred to the buildup as imaginary:
"...if their attack was to grab territory and not to respond to an imagined buildup."
But it was a land grab.
So the Israelis decided to do a land grab in the midst of over a hundred thousand enemy troops massing at their borders, getting ready to invade their country? You're seriously suggesting that they chose then to do a land grab?
I'm not the one suggesting the Israelis chose to try a land grab at this point instead of just doing it when they are not about to be invaded by troops from five ******* countries.Well, you could apply a lick of common sense.
