This is the real reason for the campaign against Columbus Day.


The purpose of Columbus Day is to celebrate the Italian people and their tremendous contributions over the years. It isn't about whether Columbus was perfect or not, no one is.

Other holidays have been set up to celebrate other ethnic groups, Cinco De Mayo for the Latinos, St. Paddy's Day for the Irish, MLK Day for the black people.

Why deny such a tremendous group like the Italians a day on the calendar?
