Another look at the statue of Liberty.

No need. I'm happy with my interpretations. The Bible is a little misogynistic, and the translators wanted to soften it wherever possible. There are still some things hidden in plain sight that the scholars missed, mainly because of traditionally held beliefs, such as the use of the word "Easter" (KJV) when the text clearly says "Passover". And even though modern versions get it right people generally take it to mean "Easter". So, what the scholars discover doesn't always make it to the pulpit and into the ears of the people.

It is the scholars that insist that 3 days and 3 nights actually means 1 day and 2 nights.

Scholars (and biologists) will admit that snakes don't "eat dust (dirt)" but fail to mention that women have since recorded time and still do. So, they miss the fact that God wasn't talking to the 'serpent'.
Good thing you caught it.

Are there no Jewish OT scholars?
not like the christian thing which, as I have
experienced, defines itself---according to
one book and one person---to wit, Jesus
and the NT and depends for its logical
analysis on that one book and one person
creating a kind of INTERNAL SYSTEM OF
LOGIC that includes "proofs" based on a kind
of "perfection" of that one book and one
person. Muslim religious scholars do the
same thing with Muhummad and the Koran.
Judaism does not have a "perfect person" ---
or even a "perfect bible"

Towards the border? with Mexico?
reminds me of that which artists say about
the "interpretation" ---of works of art.
"HOW DO YOU SEE IT" ???? ----sheeeesh I DUNNO

No idea what that means, rosie.:hhello:
ok---the idea to which I allude is the concept that there is a
deep down EMPIRE ruled by DA DEVIL. ---as if DA DEVIL is
a kinda supernatural EMPEROR of DA DEEP----yanno, with horns and a red pitchfork. This is a very GREEK notion---
and the ROMANS WORSHIPPED the Greeks---which is, IMO
how it got incorporated into christian ethos. --

We believe that on faith, and of course world history. ;)

The "day-for-a-year" principal can be found in Ezekiel 4.
Only a Stupid God Would Give Us Such a Confusing Text

Spin doctors can find anything in the Bible that backs up their argument. Just as in the Constitution, which the ruling class makes us believe is a secular version of the Bible.

"A day for a year" can also mean how many days Ezekiel has to do these rituals of atonement for every year that Jerusalem has been unholy. Making him do those things for 150 years is both ridiculously extreme and humanly impossible.

Since This Thread Is Spinning Like a Spindle...

And "John of the Mushrooms" means he was on drugs, which, in reference to opium, is where we get the term "pipe dream." I'll be your whirligig so you won't be called a "spinster."

Doubt it.

John Marco Allegro (1923-1988) was an English archaeologist and Dead Sea Scrolls scholar who wrote a book called The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross. The book was controversial and caused a media frenzy when it was published in 1970.

What is the Holy mushroom theory?

Allegro argued that Jesus never existed as a historical figure but was rather a mythological creation of early Christians under the influence of psychoactive mushroom extracts such as psilocybin. His unconventional claims have been subject to ridicule and scorn.

I have taken the boat to the Statue of Liberty when it was then being refurbished. So we could not enter the upper part. We could step into the hall. This symbol is also for Americans. We spread liberty but we do not bring in illegal people. Call them aliens or criminals, no matter, we do not bless them with liberty. We want humans who believe in law to follow our laws and based on our laws enter. They who crash the border will not be welcome. You can catch the boat both in New Jersey but also I believe in the City of New York they also boat you to the Statue and also Ellis Island. Ellis Island when it was open took in aliens.

Regardless of the meaning the day-for-a-year principle is there.
