"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:" Revelation 12:1

Only has seven.

The European Union (EU) flag has 12 gold stars in a circle on a blue background to represent the unity, solidarity, and harmony of the European people:

The number 12 is considered to symbolize perfection and completeness. It can also represent:

    • The apostles
    • The sons of Jacob
    • The labors of Hercules
    • The months in the year
    • The union between the divine and the terrestrial world
    • The vision of the Virgin Mary
The flag was adopted by the Council of Europe on December 8, 1955, and became the EU's emblem in 1985. The stars are positioned like the numbers on a clock face, and the diameter of each star is one-ninth of the height of the hoist.

The flag's designer, Arsène Heitz, said that the idea for the stars came to him from the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Paris.

"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:" Revelation 12:1

1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

Donald Trump?

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Red China?

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Donald Trump?

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The defeat of Red China?

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

I was thinking more that the SL was a mockery of the Roman Goddess of Liberty, which of course was very selective about who received freedom in the Roman Empire, which basically enslaved most of Europe. Of course there's much more to it.

The French are notorious for their sense of irony and dank humor. They probably gave us the Statue of Liberty as an insult or a joke, knowing it would embolden the rest of the world to invade our shores.

Trying to decipher Biblical passages is almost impossible. I read everything I could get my hands on when I was starting on the quest for knowledge. It was fun.

#6 Is 3.5 years approximately.....that's the time the Anti Christ will rule before Christ wacks him or her.

#7 Sounds like something from Ancient Aliens. With that said, I never realized all the depictions of some form of aerial flight existed in many biblical paintings......makes one go Hmmm.

Angels with wings descended from the heavens......yeah, right. How about someone with absolutely no concept of powered flight describing beings ascending from the heavens? One or more of the Native American tribes have the word 'Thunderbird'.........a word for something that doesn't exist, or their depiction of something flying they had no idea of.

I liked reading about the prophesies and Armageddon.

Kings of the East.....look where we are now with that.

All the people of the world will line up against Israel............that pretty much has already happened with the Palestinian thing.

The people of Rosh.............Turkey and Iran courting Russia ..............remnants of the Medo Persian empire.

Then the temple has to be rebuilt. There are radical groups in Israel who want and have attempted to destroy the temple to usher in the second coming. The Iranians have similar thoughts with their 12th Iman.

Then the Anti Christ...............rules for four years.......then is killed.....killed? Physically or politically?

The archangel Michael is the "eagles wings" that carried the woman to the wilderness.
The Israelites marched on foot out of Egypt, they didn't fly. "Eagle's wing" is a metaphor for God's protective angel, Michael.

Exodus 19:4
"Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself."

The archangel Michael is tasked with protecting Israel in the OT and the church in the NT. The 'woman' represents the church and the literal descendants of Israel (the children of thy people), who formed the true church then and now. Michael will also protect the church/Israel in the end time.

Daniel 12:1
"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

Using a day for a year principle, found in several places in the Bible, the church would be protected for 1260 years from the dragon. This comports nicely from the time of Constantine until the Reformation.

That's great but it was quoted as 1260 days.
Google "day-for-a-year principal" of prophecy. "Time, times, and half a time" also equates to either 3 1/2 years or 1260 years in Bible speak.

Interpretation:

In Revelation 11 and 12, John mentions 1,260 days in two prophecies concerning another persecution of the Jews during the end times. Daniel 8 speaks of 2,300 days in a prophecy concerning a persecution of the Jewish people during the intertestamental period. The main differences between these two prophecies are 1) Daniel’s has been fulfilled, and John’s has not; and 2) Daniel predicts the actions of Antiochus Epiphanes, and John predicts those of the Antichrist.

The 1,260-day prophecy is found in two passages in Revelation. First, Revelation 11:2–3 says,

“[The Gentiles] will trample on the holy city for 42 months. And I will appoint my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”

Then, as part of a symbolic vision, Revelation 12:6 says,

“The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.”

The time period covered, 1,260 days, figures to 42 months, or 3 1/2 years. We believe this prophecy has not yet been fulfilled but will be during the end-times tribulation. The 42 months refers to the reign of the Antichrist, specifically, the last half (3 1/2 years) of the seven-year tribulation. At the beginning of that time, the Antichrist will break his covenant with Israel and set up “the abomination that causes desolation” (Mark 13:14; cf. Daniel 9:27)—an act that links the Antichrist to Antiochus Epiphanes, who similarly defiled the temple. The Antichrist will then turn his attention to the genocide of the Jews. During the persecution, Israel (the woman of Revelation 12) will be protected by God in the wilderness. Also during that troubled time, God will send two witnesses to perform miracles and proclaim the truth of Christ in the face of the Antichrist’s lies (Revelation 11:5–6).

The detailed prophecies contained in God’s Word are part of what makes the Bible unique among religious texts. Our God can “make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come” (Isaiah 46:10), and He has revealed significant events in the future, counting out the very days of those periods of time.

Quite a stretch.
