I've seen them clean up a 100-lb poodle.
Roadkill around here keeps 'em busy.

They do digest things that would kill any other creature. They do an important service in nature. Anything with a decomposing smell will attract them. Cabbage rotting in a field or the local land fill dump will see them gather.
