There is a threat to those over 70 or compromised in some way, so it is important to stop the epidemic as quickly as possible.
And to save the lives of those over 70, the goal is to achieve herd immunity with those under 40, as quickly as possible.
People have circles of contact.
Early on only small circles are relevant, so it is easier to achieve herd immunity.
After time, people have much wider circles of contact, so then the % you need to be immune, in order to wipe out the disease, greatly increases.
So the way to reduce the number who need to get infected and the number of deaths, requires speeding up infection of those under 40 as fast as possible.
And with deliberate infection, you know who and when to quarantine, so there is no spread to those at risk.

So since herd immunity is how we will eventually end any epidemic like covid-19, then we should have accelerated the infection rate among healthy people, so we could have ended the epidemic as quickly as possible. And trying to slow it down and stretch it out by flattening the curve, is just murder. That can never end it and instead only gives it more time to spread deeper and wider.
If you have ANY knowledge of epidemiology at all, you will know I am right on this and Fauci is completely wrong.

On a personal note, my friends and I have all noted that none of us have gotten sick in over a year. No colds, flu, or even a stomach upset. Every spring, I'm run down and out of shape from being sick half the winter, with or without a flu shot. Not a sniffle. Same for my friends. Even my grandkids have had fewer colds.

If masks can keep me this healthy, as much as I hate wearing them, I will continue to do so willingly.
