You claimed to have been a big deal in real estate. You SHOULD understand that inflation is not cause by one thing .

In this case it was caused by a number of things. Both Trump and Biden dumped an enormous amount of money into the economy . Economists predicted a small increase in inflation that would last a short period of time.

And then we got slammed with the backup at the ports. People with all that money in their pockets had too few products to spend it on and prices jumped.
Ukraine also happened and that screwed up world oil and food supplies.
And top all that off with the Fed keeping interest rates too low for too long.

Add in a healthy dose companies taking advantage of prices going up and adding on a little extra for themselves and you have the inflation we had.

All that has largely either been shaken out of the system or been dealt with and here we sit at

2.3%. Right where we were in 2019.

Ain't election year great! Everybody has opinions on inflation, foreign policy, the high or low economy, abortion and women's healthcare, taxing the rich vs Tariffs taxing the poor, and they get to express them, not only on message boards, but at the ballot box, and the early voting has started.
