I gave up on California when Schwarzeneggar was Governor, and he pushed [I think it was] four ballot propositions to try to bring sanity back to the state. None of them was even controversial. And as I recall, all four failed. At that point Arnold gave up, relinquished his soul, and has never recovered. California is irredeemable.

Perhaps, the people have finally had enough.

It's very difficult to shine any light through the Democrat propaganda machine we know as the MSM or more recently 'legacy media' which I hate because it makes it look far more respectable than it is. Until we have a free and responsible press that actually reports the news/facts/honest information instead of what it is told to report, we will have far more problems than we should
But we can always hope the worm is turning.

For the left, as soon as a person steps out of line and doesn't parrot the orthodoxy, it's demean, demonize, destroy time. Is it any wonder why people are leaving the Democrat Party?

Extremely true.

Unfortunately too many on the right side of the equation do the same if somebody on the right disappoints them. I take some very angry/ugly/sometimes cruel attacks from good Patriots who disagree with me on some issue or whatever. And the label of RINO and/or the cancel culture can kick in really quickly with a Republican who says or does something that displeases some. Many were ready to hang Lindsay Graham in effigy for simply doing a quick bump to Kamala Harris's offering fist when refusal to do that would have been disrespectful/rude to a colleague.

I hope for everybody to regain their perspectives in these things, learn how to do reasoning, logic, critical thinking, competent analysis of things instead of pure emotional reactions. It would make life so much more pleasant.
