You're dependent on staff to provide good service to your customers so they'll keep coming back. You're dependent on your customers having jobs and being able to afford your products. Unless you live off the grid, growing your own food, and foraging, sewing your own clothes, from cloth you're woven, using tools you created yourself, you're dependent on others.

That's untrue to the extent of my comments. Even in business for yourself you need customers, but they are a product of your efforts. Employees are employees, purchasable goods are purchasable goods, and they are a luxury you can afford yourself and not a dependency at all.
