Here are some helpful tips before your donation:
- Please bring your Red Cross donor card or photo I.D. or pull it up via the Blood Donor App.
- Plan to be in the donation chair for 2 to 3 hours to ensure a full donation.
- Get a good night's rest prior to your donation.
- Hydrate — drink at least an extra 16 ounces of water or other non-caffeinated beverages.
- Eat a healthy meal or snack a couple hours before donating.
- Do not take aspirin products for at least 2 full calendar days prior to your appointment. For example, if you take aspirin products on Monday, the soonest you may donate is Thursday.
