An insurrection is a violent uprising against an authority or goverment. The Jan 6th uprising was directed at the United States government, specifically the US Congress. The intent was to stop the presidential certification. After Trump was unsuccessful at getting Pence to stop the certification. Trump supporters used violence to break into Capitol with the intent of stopping the certification.
The BLM protest were not even similar to Jan 6th attack on the Capitol. The BLM marches were protests directed at local police brutality toward Blacks, not the federal government. Antifa showed up at BLM marches to confront the Proud Boys, an American far-right, neo-fascist group who engages in political violence. The two groups met in violent conflicts several times. During all this there was no threat to United States government.
The event of Jan 6, 2021 did not have participants whom were armed and seeking to engage in an armed over throw of the whole Federal Government. Nor did they claim to be the "New Government" themselves (not a coup'). Out of several thousand protesters you had a few hundred whom engaged in excessive "break and enter" of the Congress building to in essence sit in Congress critter's chairs and put their feet on Congress critter's desks.
Since they weren't seeking to "seize power~control of the full Federal Government" nor any apparatus that could invalidate the certification of the disputed November 2020 electoral results; what happened for a few hours that single day is far from the traditional and classic "insurrection".
Quite correct that the "BLM protest"s, along with the AntiFa and far Left extremists actions were not similar to Jan 6th occupation of the Congress building. They went far beyond and in excess of such to the point of qualifiying as a real, nation wide Insurrection. They also had agendas far beyond the subjective perspective of so-called "police brutality".
To start with, we saw such in several USA cities, and over a span of several weeks to a few months. Far in excess of the couple hours on one day that we saw on Jan.6, 2021.
We saw mobs of hundreds to thousands in several USA cities whom took the law into their own hands for the duration of the Summer or 2020.
Mobs that were armed with guns and other weapons.
Mobs that rioted in the streets, including vandalism, looting, and arson of private businesses.
Mobs that assaulted and in some cases seized/occupied/looted local police stations and local State and Federal office buildings.
Mobs that were responsible for nearly thirty murders, and hundreds of assaults (including rapes).
Mobs that declared themselves and the city blocks they seized and occupied (for weeks to months) as "autonomous zones"; in essence declaring themselves in secession from the USA and not subject to local/city, State, or Federal Law. Basically open rebellion and insurrection in the clearest and most literal form.
Mobs that caused billions of dollars of private and public damage.
Mobs whose scale of violence, riot, destruction, assaults, murders, looting, arson, lawlessness and gross mayhem would in any rational view qualify as bona-fides INSURRECTIONS that would make the few hours of events on Jan.6,2021 look like a kindergarten playground in comparison.
That you would white-wash and downgrade months of general insurrection, riots, and mayhem that had agendas far beyond alleged and isolated "police brutality" shows how disingenuous you are, as well as being an accessory to these crimes be claiming they aren't such.
You join the ranks of the Extreme - Leftists and Insurrectionists whom are the real danger to our nation and the real threats to Liberty.
