America Is Done Pretending About Meat

The absurd "logic" in an attempt to justify evil is almost comical if it wasn't so evil.

The FACT is, eating flesh is a MORAL issue. This is why some will not "shut up" in telling you it is simply wrong.

If you've ever seen how we get the "food" we eat and it doesn't pierce your soul to the point you will say, "never again will I eat that, then your soul is broken and you need repentance.

Many times Jesus told even His disciples, "there are many things I would like to tell you at this time, but you cannot bear it." And these were His close friends. If THEY couldn't bear all His words, how much less those who were not with Him 24/7???

This is the quandary of the vegan Christian. Our eyes have been opened on at least THIS truth, and we have to decide the balance in speaking up for the voiceless or keeping our mouths shut so as not to offend the weak and drive them further away from this truth.

For me I always go back to this from Proverbs

If you see the innocent being led to the slaughter, DO NOT turn your face away and say, "I did not see", for there is One in heaven who sees, and He knows the truth
Applying moral values to what people choose to eat is extremist. This is the reason people pay you little attention.

That is fine. All I'm saying is before you draw any conclusions, you would need to go back to eating meat then see if your bloodwork or health follows any trend. Better still, take a group of 500 vegans against 500 meat eaters, and look for any correlation

I couldn't agree more with everything you said there. Very well stated, too.:clap::clap:

And I absolutely love that Proverbs scripture! In fact that is ONE of the scriptures that convicts and inspires me to be a voice for them and to do what I've been doing....through LM and CCC.

God sees everything.

I think that once you have that paradigm shift (it really is a paradigm shift), and when you learn more about it all, and really think about it....you start to see more and more how truly diabolical and horrific it all is.

We're talking about fellow creations of God who are just like little children....totally innocent, pure hearted, who look to US to take care of them and not hurt them. And what do we do to the animals who are just like little children? We betray them in the worst way. We put them in gas chambers, where they literally scream in horror before they suffocate to death, or we slit their throats and hang them upside-down to bleed to death, just like in a horror movie. You can see the fear and desperation in their eyes as they're literally being dragged to slaughter.

Like that Proverb says, God is watching. And He commands us to be merciful. Repeatedly. Throughout the scriptures from cover to cover. The problem is, most Christians don't apply those mercy scriptures to the animals, only to humans. Which is I think is the main error, and a huge error, because it misses the point entirely.

Correct! The subliminal editorializing in the national news reports is tantamount to propaganda. I listened for Lester Holt to identify sources last night and was amazed at the lack of attribution in his reports. I had to laugh when he said "the pentagon said" LMAO, when has a building ever said anything? How about something like "according to Maj. Minor, commander of allied fast food producers?" Someone that can actually be held accountable for statements.
"They", the ubiquitous anonymous authority.

I don't know how true that article is.

While I agree that MOST people are extremely stubborn when it comes to what they eat and would rather die than give up eating corpses...

...at the same, I think there is evidence that the overall trend is that veganism (and eating plantbased, which is different than veganism) is growing, slowly but surely.

And I for one can't wait for the day that people stop exploiting, terrorizing and murdering animals.
If it's meant to be, it will be. ;)

Not so fast there. If God wanted us to needlessly kill animals, that would have been His original design. But His original - and ultimate - design is the exact opposite.

Genesis 1:29-30 (original)

Isaiah 11:6-9 (ultimate)

Animals were not created to be food. They later became "food", but that is an aspect of this fallen world, and it is temporary. From a biblical perspective, the future is peace and harmony among all creation, a restoration of the initial paradise, and how it was in the Garden of Eden. You clearly won't like it, if you like killing and death.
The first animal death occurred in the garden. God killed a perfect lamb, skinned it and made garments to cover Adam and Eve's 'nakedness'. Was the lamb a symbol of the Atonement or the Passover?

You don't really believe that Eden garden stuff do you?

Give me an Angus NY steak, cooked medium. My wife will have hers rare and bloody.
Me too! Unfortunately, my favorite steakhouse--Wolf Lodge, off I-90 burned down last year. Booo, I don't know what I'm going to do for my b'day this year. Guess, I'll have to Q my own.

He's flat out lying. Either that or he's just trolling.

Since we've had these same debates at least 10,000 times, and he keeps creating new threads and bumping old threads and replying to old posts of mine and continually baiting me to these threads.

I think gramps needs a new hobby. ;)

I think you are prone to hysterical exaggeration.

He's not sayin??

He probably doesn't believe the A & E stuff, but he's been instructed not to say.

Vegetarians and vegans are on the decline, vegetarians since the late 90’s were 6% of the US population and vegans went from 3% in 2018 to 1% in 2023.

I know it is being push on us but until they can make plant based meat taste better, I’m out. I base it primarily on taste, I have yet to look at all the ingredients in plant based food and if it is over processed I’m out. I eat as little processed foods as possible.

I miss Wolf Lodge, it was the best place in North Idaho for a steak.
