It's amazing how this works. If republicans vote down a dem bill....on child care, for example, it HAS to be because repubs hate children. Even though they voted it down because of the OTHER things in thread bill they couldn't agree to.

But when democrats vote down a bill with a tax cut for the middle class, thr democrats say "ooh noo...it was because of the OTHER stuff in it"..

I do have one question...shouldn't they have replacement methods of revenue in place before they eliminate OT taxes? I mean, I'd benefit as much as the next person in no OT taxes, but, we need to make sure we can meet our current obligations before we cut it, right?

It is a bloated bill and not just the one thing you find fault with. It decreases somewhat the amount of taxes the top 1% pays while increasing what the middleclass pays. Read the whole thing instead of gas lighting.

A waiter in a 5 Star restaurant has a six figure income. Why should it be tax free?

There are too many taxes when every move you make incurs a tax, when you end up renting property from the state that you paid to own, when your money is taxed multiple times, every time you earn it and every time you spend it. I don't care how much or how little you make, there are too many taxes.

In fact, the democrat candidate for president wanted to tax money you didn't even earn yet. Of course, she couldn't be bothered to extend it the other direction and offer a deduction for money you didn't lose yet.
