Fox News reporter Leland Vittert got into a heated — and eventually physical — confrontation with activist and MSNBC host Al Sharpton, when the latter tried to keep him from questioning Democratic Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.

“We can’t ask questions?” Vittert challenged her. “You are a public official and we can’t ask questions?”

“You will have the opportunity,” Sharpton said.

“Then you’ll answer our questions?” he pressed.


“At the press conference, we will answer all questions,” Sharpton said. But as Vittert kept tailing them, a second man stepped between the reporter and the mayor and began pushing him away.

The only thing Sharpton assaults us with is his rhetoric. That skinny little runt couldn't get physical if his life depended on it.

From what I understand a bodyguard was the perp, not Sharpton.

Contrary to the emotional blackmail some leftists are attempting to peddle, Baltimore is not America’s problem or shame. That failed city is solely and completely a Democrat problem. Like many failed cities, Detroit comes to mind, and every city besieged recently by rioting, Democrats and their union pals have had carte blanche to inflict their ideas and policies on Baltimore since 1967, the last time there was a Republican Mayor.

In 2012, after four years of his own failed policies, President Obama won a whopping 87.4% of the Baltimore City vote. Democrats run the city of Baltimore, the unions, the schools, and, yes, the police force. Since 1969, there have been only two Republican governors of the State of Maryland.

Looked like simple assault to me.

Not felonious assault but enough to get Al maybe 30-days community service if an honest court could be find to try him.

The FOX reporter is the one who committed the assault if an assault was committed. He was blocking the passage of the mayor with his body. Sharpton put out his arm and hand to prevent the reported from making physical contact with the mayor or himself. If contact was made it was the fault of the reporter for attempting to detain the mayor and Sharpton.

Fox should have sent Geraldo to interview the Mayor and sympathize with her. Then Geraldo and the "Rev" could have had a private circle jerk. There was nothing physical in that confrontation
