Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), chair of the House Intelligence Committee, on Sunday rejected former President Trump’s claim that he declassified documents seized by the FBI during its search of his Mar-a-Lago resort last week.

“We should determine, you know, whether there was any effort during the presidency to go through the process of declassification,” Schiff said in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “I’ve seen no evidence of that, nor have they presented any evidence of that.”

On Friday, federal judge Bruce Reinhart unsealed and released the Mar-a-Lago search warrant as well as a list of items seized during the search, following outrage from the former president and his GOP allies after the FBI executed a search warrant at his resort. The former president’s lawyers did not object to the release of the warrant.

Court records unsealed Friday revealed that the FBI seized 11 sets of classified documents, some of which were indicated to be top secret, secret and confidential, and top secret/sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI). Shortly after court records were unsealed, Trump posted on his knockoff Twitter app TRUTH Social that “it was all declassified” while he was in office.

Three is he should have recused himself like the first time a Trump matter was handed to him. Four is because the raid was not allowed to be overseen by Trump's lawyer and ordered out of the house, they could claim they found all kinds of things Trump didn't have. Five is that Trump's legal team was working with the FBI on the additional documents they wanted. Six is that it's more than obvious to anybody with two eyes that the Communists entire goal is to make sure Trump never runs for President again because they are scared to death of this man and what he'll do to them if he presides with a Republican Congress, and even worse for them a conservative Republican Congress.

Yes, search warrants to recover documents from former government officials has been done before. General Patreus had a search warrant that revealed lots of classified information at his house.

Yes, a magistrate judge is the appropriate judge to sign off on a search warrant.

No, there is no reason for him to recuse himself.

No, searches to not have any obligation to be monitored by the person being searched.

No, Trump’s legal team did not give all documents to the search warrant. There is no “working” to be done. You hand them over when they say so.

No, it has nothing to do with the president running. He chose this path. He gets to deal with the consequences. The FBI is going to protect national security.
