held in contempt of Congress over an alleged coverup of the Fast and Furious operation despite.......
Justice says it's not trying to cover anything up, noting that it has turned over 7,600 documents and that Holder has testified before Congress nine times about Fast and Furious.

The other was his comment in response to a question about how much longer he planned to stay on as Obama's AG. "I'm still the President's wingman".......... https://www.politico.com/blogs/politico44/2013/04/eric-holder-im-still-the-presidents-wingman-160861
..........brought on heaps of criticism from the political Right since the DoJ is suppose to maintain independence from the WH in carrying out its duties to the country.

I don't recall any such outrage over acting AG Todd Blanche's comments regarding his unbridled affection for his former client.

To illustrate his point about Blanche’s independence, or lack thereof, Oliver rolled a clip of the acting AG waxing lyrical about his boss to reporters.

ā€œIt’s the greatest honor of a lifetime. And if President Trump chooses to keep me as acting, that’s an honor. If he chooses to nominate me, that’s an honor. If he chooses to nominate somebody else and I go back to being a dad, that’s an honor,ā€ Blanche said. He then added, ā€œIf he chooses to nominate somebody else and asks me to go do something else, I will say thank you very much. I love you, sir.ā€

It's pretty clear from those remarks why Todd is Don's nominee to permanently be the AG. After all, his devotion goes beyond just words. Cuz Holder never did anything like defend Obama pardoning violent criminals who tried to help him steal an election. Or approve a $1.8B slush fund for Obama to hand out to people who committed crimes they were held accountable for by the prior admin. Or sign off on Obama being given immunity for tax fraud. (Not that a person of integrity like Obama would be involved in such things) Those things are a far cry from saying something as relatively innocuous as "I'm the President's wingman."

It's been years since Holder said that. People still remember it. Will anyone remember Blanche's professed his love for Don in a week? You know, with the the constant swirl of chaos including the Iran War, trump's embarrassing Meet the Press interview, the ongoing GOP efforts to rig the midterms, the ballroom, the arch, the price of gas, etc.

I, for one, are glad a bunch of grandmothers were held in solitary confinement without being charged except as terrorists.

Well done by Biden DOJ.

KEEPING AMERICA SAFE FROM TERRORIST GRANDMAS.

You can't defend selling guns to drug cartels.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (IG) released its 471-page report on Operation Fast and Furious in September 2012, detailing severe mismanagement and a "flawed strategy" by the ATF and the U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona. [1, 2, 3]
Key findings of the report include:
  • Lack of Public Safety Consideration: Investigators failed to adequately consider the danger of allowing illegal firearms to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, allowing over 2,000 weapons to "walk" into the hands of cartel-linked straw purchasers. [1, 2]
  • Systemic Failures: The report identified significant errors in judgment across all levels, from line agents in Phoenix to senior ATF officials and DOJ leadership in Washington, D.C.. [1]
  • Eric Holder Exonerated: The Inspector General found no evidence that Attorney General Eric Holder or high-level DOJ officials knowingly authorized or approved of the "gun-walking" tactics.
Is that your way of deflecting from what Blanche said, AND DID, to curry favor with the man he loves?

ā€œOperation Fast and Furiousā€ is what every chick I have ever been with calls it when we have sex.

I'm not "right". I completely condemn what Holder did. It was incredibly stupid and got people killed.

The IG exonerated Holder, until they were found out:
However, senior DOJ officials in Washington were indeed informed about the tactics. House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa’s June 2012 letter revealed that sealed wiretap applications — approved by Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer of the DOJ’s Criminal Division — contained detailed information about the ā€œrecklessā€ decisions to let weapons be sold to straw buyers and allowed to ā€œwalkā€ into Mexico oversight.house.gov. These applications showed that the tactics were known to and approved by high-level DOJ personnel, contrary to Holder’s earlier denials.
The inspector general’s report also found serious failures at multiple levels — including ATF leadership, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Arizona, and senior DOJ officials — but concluded that no one at the top questioned the wisdom of letting guns vanish across the border CBS News. While it did not prove intentional authorization by Holder, it did confirm that some senior DOJ officials in Washington were aware and approved the tactics through the wiretap process.
