REPORT: Seattle Restaurants Suffer Worse Job Loss Since The Great Recession

According to a report released Sunday by the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), the $15 minimum wage has caused Seattle restaurants to lose 1,000 jobs — the worst decline since the 2009 Great Recession.

“The loss of 1,000 restaurant jobs in May following the minimum wage increase in April was the largest one month job decline since a 1,300 drop in January 2009, again during the Great Recession,” AEI Scholar Mark J. Perry noted in the report.

Supplies are 250K.
Labor is 250K for 12 employees.

Then labor costs go up to 400K.

The irony is that if you get your lawn mowed at your house where the private maintenance guy works for you, when he starts demanding a raise from $50 bucks to $80, you as the owner of your yard will hire someone for less pay to perform the same job. HYPOCRITE! So stop the logical fallacy about fairness.

Lets take the scenario where you hired workers to remodel your home and they demanded a raise in the middle of the job, but you told them they needed to complete the work which they agreed to be paid. I think you got the point. NOT!
