I'm reading Jeremiah right now. Pretty scary.
Much of the prophecy is in metaphors. The sword is a curse under the appearance of a cup of wine, the inspiration for the words of the last supper...Jeremiah 25:15,
The sword, piles of unburied corpses etc. sound horrific enough but the reality is far worse.

Why did God put Satan into A & E's mind?
If he did, which is demonstrable, Eve was innocent as God was controlling things and setting who was where.
Eve did not have the power to override God's power flowing through Satan.

Once a species is down to less than about 500 members, it is doomed.
The basic abstraction is just wrong.
Knowledge is never wrong, and the proper way to get compliance is by explaining why.
Anything else is how you treat animals who can not reason.
To me, this is why I originally, as a young child, realized the Bible not only was wrong, but evil.
It is not a reasonable source of knowledge.
Once a species is down to less than about 500 members, it is doomed.

for certain matters only one key will open the lock.
the may versions may not be wrong and if not will eventually lead to a single conclusion - is the nature of the universe.
I believe in a Creator entity. No religious god can fill those shoes. There would go doubly for any god of a tribal religion.
