While Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tours the country pushing socialist talking points and railing against law enforcement, her own congressional district is overrun by crime — and her constituents say they have had enough.

Since AOC took office in 2019, major crime in her Queens and Bronx district has skyrocketed by a staggering 70%, more than double the 30% increase citywide, according to NYPD data analyzed by the New York Post. In some precincts, like the 110th in Queens, the increase is even more alarming — 105% since AOC assumed office.

Alvarez confronted Ocasio-Cortez at a town hall, only to be brushed off and referred to a staffer. “She did a very silent exit through the back,” Alvarez told the New York Post. Others, like Ramses Frias, a Republican City Council candidate, echoed the frustration. “You have a mouth to speak up. People are suffering. They’re scared to go outside,” he told the New York Post.

Critics are directly tying the rise in lawlessness to AOC’s aggressive anti-police rhetoric. At the height of the “Defund the Police” movement, Ocasio-Cortez said a $1.5 billion cut to the NYPD didn’t go far enough, saying in 2020, Defunding police means defunding police.” That same year, the NYPD canceled a cadet class that would have added over 1,100 officers to the force.

Even as her district suffers, AOC has remained silent on the crisis. While residents plead with the federal government for help, AOC has focused on national media appearances and progressive crusades— far from the streets her constituents say are turning into danger zones. “She talks about helping the poor, but the poor in her own district are scared to walk down the street,” Betsy Brantner Smith of the National Police Association, told the New York Post. “If you don’t feel safe, you’re not free.”

People like AOC are on a mission. The only way that AOC can be dealt with is to vote her out of office. Unfortunately AOC's section of our American constituency has no choice but to vote for her or not vote @ all. Literally speaking AOC cannot be voted out of office, @ least for the foreseeable future.

It seems to me that the democraps think violent crime is important to Americans and are doing everything possible to increase it. My guess is the democraps think that they can create a national emergency and then go out and tell the people that only they are qualified to solve the problem, all while saying Trump is a horrible person for wanting to deport violent illegal immigrants. Intelligent people know that the same thinking that creates a problem can never solve the problem.

They have all probably noticed her rather ostentatious caloric enhancement to the tune of about 40 pounds. Her campaign has always been a populist rhetoric wave of old Marxist mantra mixed with latino-American cheek and a phony Horatio Alger origins tale. As expected, such a vacuous foundation has now failed in its confrontation with reality while the firebrand Latina enriches herself at the expense of her constituency.

Sigh....

Phony is the key word here. She, like all democraps, have great PR people who find just the right buzzwords and things to say to energize the base, but really don't mean anything they say. It's all just pure bullshit to tag on the emotional strings of people just to get them to vote democrap. The democraps are all talk, no action. Well, at least for what concerns the people. Thank God the majority of voters prefer a crass, bombastic politician who gets things done instead.

All AOC has to do to keep getting elected is to continue to rant incoherently about Marxism being her lord and savior while remaining a woman who is an under privileged minority, not that I really know what a woman is mind you cuz I'm not qualified to say.

Idiots.

Does the MS hypocrisy still campaign against so called "oligarchy" with expensive jets?

OK, then STFU and vote her out the next go-round.....Blah, I suspect she will keep her seat for as long as she wants it.

Well, I am not so sure. A Democrat could easily beat her if she were primaried. Democrats may want to elect a Democrat, just NOT THAT Democrat, lol.

Tahlib is probably the safest radical seat in congress; AOC, not so much!

The Elected Representatives of a District are a direct reflection of the people that voted them into Office.

Scumbag Rep, scumbag voters. See? Not complicated.

My US Rep is Byron Donalds. My Gubner is Ron DeSantis. My US Senators are Rick Scott and Ashley Moody (who took over for Marco Rubio).

The highest elected Official from my State is Donald J Trump. He moved here after he he fled the open sewer of New Yawk. Which used to be the Capial of The World, now it's a goddammed embarrassment.

The People make the Reps. Does anybody think AOC could get elected in the Naples-Fort Myers District? :auiqs.jpg:

Scumbags are elected by Scumbags. No more complicated than that

And it is repeatable every election cycle. She was either groomed or she sold out quickly once she spent some months in office. She hobnobs with the rich and famous. For someone who is of "the people", that is a major red flag. When she was a bartender, she was more honorable.

She is just so underprivileged. But dimocrap scum voters are the dumbest motherfuckers on Earth so they'll believe anything the DISGUSTING FILTH tells them to believe. FACT

When she was Flat-Backing at BU for cigarette change, she was more honorable. You do know how she got started into politics, right? Same way......

dimocraps are scum. period

Does anyone ever wonder what the carbon footprints of Bernie Sanders and AOC are? Only a democrap could fly around the country in private jets to lecture the people on the the dangers of climate change and the need to drastically reduce OUR carbon footprints.

A Democrat could easily beat her if she were primaried.

Don't be so sure.

She got the seat in the first place by primarying an establishment Democrat.

And she's creaming Schumer in a hypothetical senate primary match up.

Sadly, she's actually formidable when it comes to intra-party contests.

Now, in a general election?

That's a whole other ball o' wax.

NYC is a Democrat controlled Blue Plantation city.... AOC can publicly defecate on the steps of Congress and will still re-elected by her paid off constituents.
AOC doesn't give a fig over the conditions the people within her area live in....
