Okay you liberal educators... back away from those cucumbers....

(CNSNews.com) – The “abstinence-only” message to reduce teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases actually works. That is the conclusion of a scientific study that was released Monday by the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Admit it, Penn State conducted that study in Amish country.

if they're with you ..........NO...bud.....you can do it.

CNS? Really?

Studies published in a special issue of the online journal Sexuality Research and Social Policy by the University of California Press reveal that abstinence-only-until-marriage sex education programs fail to change sexual behavior in teenagers, provide inaccurate information about condoms, and violate human rights principles.

Accuracy, Efficacy And Ethics Of Abstinence-only Programs Questioned By Public Health Experts

Must be like political polls, you can get whatever result your looking for.

Maybe is regional.

So... where do you buy chastity belts, nowadays?

on the other hand.......there are those sexy Amish hanging out at a family event that catch your wandering eye... wink ......wink.

All that study proves is that adolescents who are taught "abstinence only" are more likely to lie about their sexual practices on self-reporting surveys.

I think abstinence-only should be taught as it truly is the only way not to get sexually transmitted diseases. But I think it should not be the only thing taught.

I do believe that there have been several other studies, however, that have concluded abstinence-only does not work.
