No, they did several times before when the grid froze in winter. Is this the first time on record?
No, did this happen before during high heat? No, they did several times before when the grid froze in winter.
yeah, no so much.I hope they sell a shit load so that in 6 to 7 years we can hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth that follows. You should buy a true EV and get rid of that fossil fuel Prius masquerading as an EV. But you won't because you know better.
yeah, no so much.
How long does a electric vehicles battery last?
10-20 years
Thankfully, experts suggest that EV batteries will typically last anywhere from 10-20 years. That's significantly longer than most people own a vehicle and longer than your average gas-powered ICE (internal combustion) engine. More importantly, auto manufacturers guarantee it, too.Apr 19, 2022
Oh no, one wasn't perfect....Suggest........ask the woman who got screwed buying a 2014 clunker for 11K.
The future.Oh no, one wasn't perfect....
The horrors...
Actually... it's more like 7 to 10 years. And do you know how much lithium it would take to build enough batteries to hold one day's use of gasoline and diesel? 18 billion kgs. Which at the current rate of mining would take 177 years to produce. So every 7 to 10 years they would have to produce 177 times more lithium than they mine in 1 year. Can't be done. It's simple math.yeah, no so much.

Ding, you're not drinking the Biden koolaid with facts like that.Actually... it's more like 7 to 10 years. Electric cars are designed to prevent the freedom to travel.
Go to work, go home
Vacation? If the government allows a charging station where you are going. If you afford extra days off for charging.
Vacation only close to home.

FDNY says e-bikes have been responsible for over 100 fires, multiple deaths since the start of 2021 | Blaze Media
FDNY officials are warning that the lithium ion batteries from increasingly-popular e-bikes present a fire hazard, and have already been responsible for at least 140 fires in the last 16 months alone. Those fires have caused dozens of injuries and at least 5 deaths in New York City since the...www.theblaze.com
That's the idea.If I can only vacation as far as my car will take me then it's probably best I'd stay close to home.![]()
Wow, climate denial in overdrive today?Actually... it's more like 7 to 10 years. Until your battery replacement overrides your trade in value.Wow, climate denial in overdrive today?
So, back to my previous question. If I own an EV that is powered by renewable energy, how long is my payback over a ICE?
Taking in all emissions to produce and lifetime to operate.
Climate denial? It's just math. See?Wow, climate denial in overdrive today?

Taking in all emissions to produce and lifetime to operate.
Analysis: When do electric vehicles become cleaner than gasoline cars?Climate denial? It's just math. See?

How much lithium is needed to replace all internal combustion engines in the world?
You can't simply calculate how many electric vehicles (EV) batteries are needed for the worldwide fleet to replace internal combustion engines. First of all there is no exact number of internal combustion engines in the world. Secondly there is variability in the battery size of EV batteries...www.usmessageboard.com

How many years would it take to mine enough lithium to make enough batteries to replace all of the internal combustion engines in the world?
The current rate of mining lithium is 100,000 metric tons. The amount of lithium needed to replace all internal combustion engines is 17,712,640 metric tons. So the number of years to mine enough lithium to replace all internal combustion engines is 177 years (17,712,640 metric tons divided...www.usmessageboard.com
Your question is poorly worded. The answer is it depends. Why don't you show me your math?
CO2 isn’t pollution. It’s a vital component of the carbon cycle that all life on the planet relies upon to survive.
Can I fill up your house with CO2?CO2 isn’t pollution. It’s a vital component of the carbon cycle that all life on the planet relies upon to survive.
My house already has CO2 in it.Can I fill up your house with CO2?
Yeah, at what level does it become lethal? My house already has CO2 in it.
