As Canada lowers its tariffs and imports more electric vehicles from China, an upcoming report from New York-based labour rights researchers is making new allegations of forced labour practices at the world's bestselling EV manufacturer, BYD.

China Labor Watch (CLW) received a complaint last fall from one of the thousands of migrant workers brought to Hungary from China to help build BYD's first European plant in the city of Szeged — a $4.5-billion investment intended to supply the European market with around 300,000 vehicles per year.

The non-profit organization launched an investigation and provided CBC News with an advance copy of its findings, set for publication later this month.

I've seen BYD's (Build Your Dreams) on the road, not bad looking cars.

There is another Chinese EV called Deepal, it has a couple models out that are complete copies of Tesla, in China, if you can't beat them, you just copy them, they are hard to tell apart when you see the two.

Orban has sold out as much to China as he has to Putin..

He objects to any legislation that keeps China out of Europe... China is only proving him up for that...

If Orban wins on Sunday, I say EU will kick Hungary into a non voting member of EU.. They are sick of him and they are paying the bill...
Simply put, EU will cut off the Hungary Gravy Train.. China will leave, no use in Hungary then...

Putin might want to help, but Hungary will descend back to a Russian puppet shit hole..

They make cars cheap, good cars very cheap...

There is a 100% tariff on them in Europe and they are still good value..

Hungary is very friendly with Russia. Russia is friendly with China.

Just as a correction...

China and Russia are not hugely friendly... They more coexist...

Orban relationship with China is very direct. China Use Hungary

• To ship there products into the EU
• Ship Chinese inmimmagrants into Europe (they are leading granter visas to Chinese)
• To object to Chinese unfriendly EU Law proposals

Hungary are massively pro China, even more so than Russia... China is heavily investing/propping up Hungary, they are trying to get into EU...
EU has frozen payment s to Hungary mainly because Orban was imbezzelling the money but also to stop China...

JD Vance then lands and says EU should stay out of Hungary. He can **** off back to America, he knows **** all..
