About that now famous directive to Pam.

The loyalty amazes me. What members of the regime are doing to the country, to themselves in the way of reputational damage and exposure to prosecution..........I can't understand why they don't walk away.
I swear, it's in the freakin' DC water supply. These people get the slightest taste of power and influence and they will do or say ANYTHING to keep it. 99% of us will never know what it's like to be that desperate to be around power.

And on top that, these people goddamn well know that their Great Leader will throw them under the bus at the slightest whim. And they STILL enable this. Incredible.

The U.S. attorney investigating New York’s attorney general, Letitia James, and the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey said he had resigned on Friday, hours after President Trump called for his ouster.

Erik S. Siebert, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, had recently told senior Justice Department officials that investigators found insufficient evidence to bring charges against Ms. James and had also raised concerns about a potential case against Mr. Comey, according to officials familiar with the situation. Mr. Trump has long viewed Ms. James and Mr. Comey as adversaries and has repeatedly pledged retribution against law enforcement officials who pursued him.
So what? grand juries indicted them. Now it goes to court.

This administration suffers even more unforced errors than the Biden one, and that's quite a feat.
Meh......by hiding everything the Biden group kept it out of sight.

It is a VERY WEAK CASE, and NOT a strong case for prosecutors.
It's a win either way.

It's pathological.

Really? An experienced, Republican, prosecutor appointed by trump came to the conclusion there was insufficient evidence to prosecute both Comey and James. Only to be replaced by a sycophantic insurance attorney who was assigned to the job because of her willingness to bring these cases.

By all appearances Comey's case is going to get tossed. I suspect the same with James.

Because they are based on a desire for revenge, not evidence adequate to get a conviction. Which is supposed to be the standard for bringing a case against someone.

A loss will still be a great outcome.

Oooooooops.

White House admits Trump’s message to Bondi to prosecute enemies was supposed to be a DM: report

Donald Trump’s Truth Social post urging Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute his perceived political enemies without “delay” was intended to be a private message, according to administration officials.

A post from the president’s account September 20 addressed to “Pam” demands “justice be served” against his former FBI director James Comey, who was indicted five days later.

Trump — suggesting in his post that the prosecution of his favored targets is retribution for his impeachments and indictments against him — believed he had sent Bondi the message directly, and was surprised to learn it was public, The Wall Street Journal reported.

I thought it was surprising, even for someone who has no fear of impeachment, or prosecution, or losing support from his base for anything he does, to be so open about an astonishingly corrupt directive given to his astonishingly corrupt AG.

There seems to be little doubt the message will be exhibit 1 when Jim Comey's lawyer asks the judge to dismiss the charges against him due to vindictive prosecution. I see no reason Letitia's attorney won't do the same. trump having handed them the motion on a proverbial silver platter.

The note to Pam to get going prosecuting trump's enemies, the firing of Seibert and his deputy to make way for the eminently compliant Lindsey Halligan, the hapless indictment of Comey minus pertinent details, the declination on the part of line prosecutors to touch either case for a lack of evidence...........it's like watching a satirical play, too absurd to be believable, being acted out in real life.

Not seeing any direct quotes with TRUMP saying "to prosecute enemies". Sorry I'll need those EXACT words, libs set the standard, not me. :itsok:

Grasp all the straws you want. Then again, that isn't even a straw.

What part of "grand jurys indicted them both based on the evidence" don't you understand?

Sorry, that's not grasping at straws. As I said, the standard isn't getting a grand jury that only sees one side of the story to vote for indictment. The standard is..........is there enough evidence to convict? Professional prosecutors said there wasn't after looking at the evidence for months. James and Comey are being prosecuted because Dotard wants them to be prosecuted. Welcome to our banana republic.

We could look back at the Lawfare cases against Trump with that same jaundiced eye.

Getting 91 felony convictions and a $540,000,000 fine, and having them overturned, are also proof of a "banana republic".

So its not just a conviction by a prejudiced judge and jury, its the final outcome after appeals.

He's telling his sycophants what to do, as expected. As predicted. As denied by the cult.

"But Biden!" -- Bullshit. This is an authoritarian regime, and the world sees it.
Yeah.....But Biden.....who hired an AG who attacked parents and called them domestic terrorists and spied on 8 Republican members of congress and arrested dozens of Trump associates on trumped up charges.

Let's all totally ignore what has been going on for the last 4 ******* years, folks.

Trump is the dictator who can't dictate shit without the press attacking him or making up false reports about him.

A dictator would have all of those low-life leftist journalists in front of a firing squad by now, you lying ****!!

There were no lawfare cases. He committed crimes, he was prosecuted for them. Well...........not all of them. He'll likely never face the charges for his traitorous acts.

Any rational person could see it for what it was when it was happening.

But then again you ain't rational.

Yeah.....But Biden.....who hired an AG who attacked parents and called them domestic terrorists

Claims that Attorney General Merrick Garland labeled parents as "domestic terrorists" are false. This misinformation is based on a memo Garland issued in October 2021 addressing threats of violence against school officials.

And he was questioned on it in front of congress.
