• Some of the bluest states (California and New York) are also the biggest SNAP payout states.
• The most MAGA/Trumpian/Republican region of the country, the upper midwest corn belt from Kansas to the Dakotas, and from Idaho to Nebraska are also the lowest in SNAP expenditure.
