I’ve wondered about that number. Is that the number of participants in the program ie parent X qualifies for SNAP but is feeding 4 people with it or the number of people SNAP thinks it’s feeding.

So long as our economy is rigged to redistribute a greater and greater percentage of our nation's wealth to the top one percent, there will be a greater number of people who will need food assistance.

So long as the GOP and Trump keep lying about their non-existent Obamacare replacement (a record 15 year running hoax!), and the rubes fail to realize they have been hoaxed (incredible, but true, they STILL don't get it!), then more and more millions of Americans are going to be priced out of the cost of health insurance and will need government assistance.

First, it's the workers who produce, not the oligarchs. And those workers receive a far smaller percentage of the profits than in days past. They are not justly compensated for producing more than ever before.

Second, the oligarchs have bribed our politicians and gamed the system to their advantage such that income inequality is now at the level of the Gilded Age, and getting worse by the day.

They have created multiple unfair advantage for themselves, and our politicians have sold their souls to them in exchange for being re-elected as often as they wish.

For example (I have many), 97 percent of our importers are small businesses, and they are getting fucked by Trump's idiotic and illogical tariffs. Trump actually brags about how much he is soaking them for. Literally brags about it.

But our oligarchs simply put a few millions into Trump's pocket, make the same old empty reshoring promises everyone knows they have never had any intention of carrying out, and they get exempted.

We had powerful manufacturing because the government was buying things. In short, we nationalized industry for four years.

And when we had gotten done building this powerful industrial machine at the taxpayer's expense (but it was fine because it was the wealthy taxpayers!) we were in the catbird's seat to be an export economy, which we remained until 1976.
