Abortion Is Finally Illegal -- And I Can't Wait To Sue

i answered it via facts.
No. First you answered with a meaningless Op Ed
Then, you posted a links to a section of federal law.
Neither of them prove anything - the first is, well, opinion and the second, absent the relevant text that effect, means less.

Cite/copy/paste the section of the OSHA law that allows the federal government to require employers to force their employees to get a vaccination as a condition of their employment.

nobody is forcing them to stay at a job that requires it. it really is that simple. if you willfully put your co worker at risk , then someone has to go. it's not gonna be the worker who is compliant with the rules of employment & the employer has to follow osha regs by keeping their employees safe. certain training, equipment, etc is mandatory for safety - so will vaccines.

& for those who quit their jobs over vaccinations will at least have obamacare to fall back on as a safety net- that is if their tight ass hillbilly hayseed red state has expanded medicaid.

"A new Texas abortion law that bars the procedure after approximately six weeks of pregnancy took effect Wednesday, after the Supreme Court didn’t act on an emergency request by clinics and abortion-rights advocates to block it. When the court said nothing by midnight, the ban officially went into force, making it the most restrictive abortion law in effect in the U.S. The state law dictates that a physician can’t knowingly perform an abortion if there is a detectable fetal heartbeat after 6 weeks of pregnancy. Abortion-rights advocates typically challenge new restrictions before they go into effect by suing the government officials -- but lawmakers devised a measure that shifts enforcement from the state to private parties. Under the new law private parties can file civil lawsuits against any person who allegedly performs or aids a banned abortion, or who intends to do so. Under the law, a successful suit entitles the plaintiff to collect at least $10,000 in damages per abortion challenged."

One of the many good things about living in Texas is now one is able to sue any whore whom they think had an abortion, along with the doctor that helped that whore; the receptionist at the clinic -- and even the person who gave the whore a ride to the clinic -- if you want, you can sue all of them.. In fact, there are already lawsuits in the works to sue..For example, there is a lawyer in Collin County, Tx who donated to abortion rights groups; now that person is getting sued...and there is this other lawyer who represents women who were impregnated from "sexual assault" and are trying to get abortions -- not so fast...they are getting sued too....At $10,000 per abortion challenge, one can make a pretty penny or at least put these folks who are part of this abortion industry out of business and hopefully in jail -- because that is what freedom is all about.

A $10,000 bounty to turn in your friends and family sounds right on point for the authoritarian leaning Republican Party. This is a stark window into their vision of the future if given the authority to do so.

But you're really not thinking this through.

First, its awful precedent. If you can simply put a bounty on 'aiding and abetting' the exercise of constitutional rights.....then its perfectly legal for a state to say, put a $10,000 bounty on anyone who helps with a gun purchase. Or who sells ammunition.

Second, the law allows ANYONE to accuse ANYONE. You don't need evidence to force them into court to defend themselves. And they fail to show, that's summary judgment against them. No matter how frivolous the accusation, its impossible to sue the false accuser for legal costs incurred. So the potential for abuse is absolutely monstrous.

If anyone got a hold of your name, they could sue you in jurisdictions across Texas, forcing you to arrange trips to Houston, Amarillo, El Paso, Corpus, sending you running to the 4 corners of the state. And you could never recoup costs. Worse, if you fail to show for any of those suits, you automatically lose.

Its an absolutely horrible law. And one perfectly aligned with the authoritarian GOP......eager to strip people of their rights and turn those rights into crimes.

To follow this as precedent, you would first have to make the firearm and ammunition illegal.

Its not illegal to get an abortion in Texas. Its illegal to aid and abet someone who does.

It wouldn't be illegal to buy a gun or ammunition. It would just be illegal aid and abet someone who does.

You're not thinking this through.

Here is the Supreme Court precedent which regards vaccine mandates as constitutional:

It is illegal to perform an abortion because abortions are illegal.
You still need to make guns illegal for the parallel to work.

Again, there's no law preventing a woman from getting an abortion, no law violated by her if she gets one, no punishment for her if she does.

All the laws are for those that aid and abet her exercise of her constitutional rights.

And if you think those kind of laws won't bite you square in the ass, you're deluding yourself. They'll come for your rights next if this precedent stands.

While this law will not prevent a woman from getting an abortion, it does prevent her from getting one legally.
Why?
Because abortion is illegal.

No right is absolute, all righs are subject to restrictions as determined necessary by the legislature.
Correct?

Depends. If the restrictions violate that right, then the legislature lacks the authority to enact such restrictions.

If a $10,000 bounty on whomever aids and abets an individual in the exercise of their rights is deemed to be constitutionally permissible....

.....then your gun rights are the next on the list. As is your free speech. Your exercise of religion. Or whatever else a State wants to put a $10,000 civil bounty on.

You guys have not through this shit through. You're so giddy about the authority to hinder someone elses' free exercise of constitutional rights that you haven't thought about how this exact same precedent could be used to hinder yours just as easily.

The women in Texas really should wake up.

The politicians in Texas are taking away their rights and our courts won't do anything about it.

The women and all intelligent people of Texas really should vote those republicans out of office.

The women of child bearing years in Texas will now have to take pregnancy tests monthly so they know if they are pregnant before that 6 week deadline.

We will see women leave Texas for their abortions. We will see women and young girls die or harmed because of this law. They will try to induce miscarriage or go on line to buy the abortion pill and take it without doctor to monitor the process for any complications. Women could end up bleeding which could cause infertility or even die.

This could cause backlash big time on the republicans.
They could keep their pants on or use birth control.

After you make guns illegal.
Oh. Wait.
Again, abortion isn't illegal in Texas. There's no law outlawing it, no penalties for having an abortion.

What is illegal....is aiding and abetting an abortion. And if you can put a $10,000 bounty on those 'aiding and abetting' the exercise of a constitutional right....

.....then you're next.
