Justice Department sues New Jersey synagogue protesters using law meant to protect abortion clinics

So the article makes it sound like the Admin is abusing a law in the title, but then admits the law includes places of worship explicitly,...

Seems like hackery is afoot with the writers of this article.
Isn't it always?

Seems pretty partisan to me that the title claims "using a law intended to protect abortion clinics" but the last line of the OP makes it clear it was intended to also protect places of worship.
The OP said it was 'innovative' or some such to use that law to protect a place of worship. I can't say that he was wrong.

And the protests cannot and should not occur on private property. Public property in front of or across the public street from is not private property.
But it should always be considered illegal and disturbing the peace and prosecutable to block accesses on public property--sidewalks, streets, bridges, buildings etc.--too.

That falls under the auspices of what constitutes peaceful protest--but yes, you are correct.

I participated in some Tea Party demonstrations. These were all on public sidewalks and such but we were extremely careful to not be a nuisance, not hinder people's use of those sidewalks, careful not to block access to any business, etc. We made sure all the signage used was positive, not hateful or derogatory.

Nobody was harassed, shouted at, etc. Nobody felt threatened in any way by us.

THAT is what peaceful protests look like.

I participated in a couple of labor strikes over the years, but we followed the same guidelines as protestors are SUPPOSED to.
