You miss the point; 18th century state militias were a guarantee against a United States federal government becoming tyrannical. They flexed their muscle from 1861 to 1865 and lost.

You are comparing apples and oranges. The Civil War was fought between two roughly equal armies. The only reason the North won was because of their superior industrial base. I say it again. If millions of gun owners said enough is enough, no army could ever stop us.
