Like most conservatives, The Donald opposes any form of renewable or clean energy, and plans to help Big Oil and other corporate giants foul our air, water, and soil.

Having made promises to do this during his campaign, it saddens tens-of-millions of Americans that he will do everything in his power to end the research into hydrogen power at the Energy Department’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Researchers there have just developed a new catalyst that also serves as a protective coating for the solar cell’s semiconductors, which is a considerable advance toward the goal of clean, inexpensive hydrogen power.

But Trump’s duty is not to the American people, or to protect our planet for future generations, his duty, like all Republicans, is first and foremost to safeguard the profits of the fossil fuel industry and Big Business. This has become the main focus of U.S. conservatism, and has most right-wingers eager to consume toxic drinking water, breathe poisoned air, and have no qualms about polluting our soil.

Unfortunately, decades of the Republicans’ anti-education agenda has led their voting base to fear knowledge and embrace any fiction told them by their politicians. Their fear now has the level of ignorance in conservatives to the point where they believe a comforting fantasy rather than what is happening before their very eyes.

During their eight-year rule, the Bush/Cheney administration destroyed the economy, started two wars-for-profit, and passed tax cuts that, coupled with their wars, pushed our government trillions-of-dollars deeper into debt. We can all thank the swing state voters of 2016 for installing Trump and his Republican congress do the very same thing.

Where did he say that he was going to prevent research into hydrogen power?

Is the research grant one of those retarded clean energy scams that Obama is famous for funding?

Of course you start up with a false statement, and it gets worse from there. There is nothing wrong with renewables, what is wrong is forcing them as expensive not as good replacements for current forms of power generation. And when you go all BOOOOOOOOSHcheney!!!! we know you are a haaaaaackkkk.

Those have actually yielded positive returns. Pointing to Solyndra is like pointing to Trump Steaks.

Like most conservatives, The Donald opposes any form of UN-Affordable / Expensive renewable or clean energy, and plans to help Big Oil and other corporate giants foul our air, water, and soil.

I, IMHO, corrected your assertion.

Liberals seek to IMPOSE 'renewable' energy upon people, no matter the cost or economic impact, much like they sought (and did) impose their agenda / product of Obamacare on the majority of Americans who opposed it. Like the ACA, many renewable energy sources being pushed are not affordable...but that doesn't seem to matter to those pushing it.

Then there are the wind turbines....great idea...except liberals don't want them anywhere near where they live because they detract from the view, kills birds, etc....but it's ok to be imposed on YOU, right?!

Americans consume petroleum products at a rate of three-and-a-half gallons of oil and more than 250 cubic feet of natural gas per day each! But, as shown here petroleum is not just used for fuel.

What do we have that can replace petroleum to create all of this?

Solar energy? Wind energy?

Next time you're brushing your teeth, shaving, talking on your phone, etc...remember to curse those 'big oil' companies. Just sayin'....
